Packing Makeup for Travel

Two weeks ago I went on vacation to Arches National Park in Utah and Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. The trip was awesome and I definitely recommend it to any of you looking for an adventure with gorgeous scenery, cool history and tons of photography opportunities.

For this trip, I tried to pack only things I really thought I'd need or want with me, especially since I knew we were headed to a desert. I brought lots of makeup even though I wasn't sure how much and how often I would actually wear it. (I wanted to be prepared for any situation! I had no idea how much hiking I was in for!) So how did I decide what to bring when I was packing for this trip? I'll go over this in detail, noting what I did and didn't use and what I would do differently next time.

Observed weather May 20-25th in Moab, UT.
From Weather Underground.
I checked the weather forecast for the week of our trip before I started packing. During our trip, it was in the mid 80's to 90's in Moab, UT. Because of the heat, I specifically didn't pack any lipstick or anything else I was worried might melt. I also made sure to pack lots of products containing SPF as well as a good sunscreen.

My trio of makeup bags.
I packed most of my makeup in one makeup bag, then used another smaller bag for things like lipgloss, mascara and pencils. I also had a bag with some makeup brushes and tools in it. And this isn't even including things like lotions, toothbrush, hair brush, etc. (The fact that I couldn't fit it all in one bag should probably have been a sign I was packing too much. Lol!)

First, I have this red printed makeup bag. The bag is from the Calypso St. Barth collection last year at Target. The shape and size of it are usually perfect for my needs. I also like that it has a little mirror under the flap. I got it when it went on clearance for about $5 and have really liked using it so far.

You can pack a lot of makeup in this bag!
Now here is all the crap I fit in it for this trip. I had primers, blushes, eyeshadows, bronzers, lip balm, concealer, highlighter, eyebrow powder, gel eyeliner, a paint pot, foundations, the Naked palette and I think there were even a few things inside the bag that don't show up in the above photo.

The products I used most frequently.
Out of all the products packed in that bag above, the few shown here are the only ones I used more than once on my trip. One reason is because once I got there and really realized what I was in for (hiking, heat, sweating, 96 degrees!) I realized that I probably wasn't going to be doing a full face of makeup each day. I stuck with a tinted moisturizer, a little blush and bronzer, lip balm and a few times I did apply a little eyeshadow. (I did also wear mascara and an eyeliner pencil but those will be shown below.) The only reason I even wore this much makeup was in case I was in any photos. I quickly found out that I was going to sweat it all off anyway though.

A small, flat makeup bag perfect for pencils and mascara.
Then I had this bag. A flatter, small gold bag from a Smashbox sample kit last year at Christmas time. The bag doesn't hold a lot, but it is perfect for pencils, mascara, lip glosses and anything else long like that. That is exactly what I put in it for this trip.

All filled up with lip and eye products.
I had 4 different eyeliner pencils, 2 lipliners, 3 Mac lip glosses, 3 Urban Decay sample size lip glosses, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, two mascaras, a Garnier rollerball and brow gel all packed in this bag.

Most used products in the gold bag.
I only used four out of all the products mentioned I packed in that gold bag. Perfekt brow gel, Buxom Lash mascara, Bare Minerals Big & Bright eyeliner and the Garnier Anti-Dark Circles rollerball. I used these 4 products on most days of my trip.

A zipper pouch I filled with makeup brushes.
Then, to apply all that makeup, I needed some makeup brushes. I filled another zippered pouch with makeup brushes, an eyelash curler and tweezers.

Packed full of tools and brushes!
I do use makeup brushes to apply almost all of my makeup, so if I want to do that on vacation as well they are necessary. I used many of the brushes I brought, even though I probably could have gotten by with fewer.

Most used makeup brushes on my trip.
I actually only used 2 different brushes for my eyes, the stipple brush for my tinted moisturizer, the fluffy brush for bronzer, the flat top brush for blush and thats it. There are a couple extra brushes included in the photo above, but what is shown is what I would probably narrow it down to next time.

Everything I used on my face more than once.
Shown in this photo is all the makeup products I used more than once on my trip. I also threw in the moisturizer I used. Out of all the things I packed, these are the only ones I actually used frequently. All of the above items except the lotion would fit in one of the 3 different bags I showed previously. I am hoping this will serve as a guide to work from next time I have to pack for a trip like this.

I didn't realize just how much lighter I could have packed until I got home and started unpacking. I brought so many things I didn't even use. Some of it was stuff I hoped to use and didn't get to, some of it just didn't work for the climate and some were things I just shouldn't have packed to begin with. Looking back, I can see how ridiculous the amount of products I brought with me was. I think narrowing everything down to what I did actually use will help me pack wiser next time. Hopefully this will also help someone else who isn't sure what to pack for a similar vacation.

I also took photos of a travel bag with toiletries I brought and I will go over that too in a separate post.

My June Birchbox... (maybe?)

There is a way to see what you might get in your upcoming Birchbox using the "Feedback Method." If you haven't heard about the Feedback Method, what you do is basically go through the items in the Birchbox Shop and see which ones give you the opportunity to offer feedback. (Remember to log in!) I heard about this through Zadidoll on Facebook. When I tried it last month it was actually accurate, but it may or may not always work.
The Give Feedback link is shown to the bottom
right of the Add To Cart button.
Typically you would only need to go through the New Products portion of the Birchbox Shop, but currently all those products are still from May. You can wait until they update that section with products from June and then try the method. Or, you can maybe get an idea now. On Makeup Talk, many people have reported seeing new feedback buttons on items in the regular shop categories. The bummer about this is that it means you have to go through all the products in each category to see what you can give feedback for. It is time consuming, but if it proves to be correct, I think I will be really happy with my box this month.
*Note: I didn't actually go through all the categories and click on each item one by one, but I clicked on things I had seen other people have a feedback button for and random products that caught my eye. There could be more or completely different items that I might be getting. This method isn't guaranteed.**

So here is what I found feedback buttons for:
Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara

Stila One Step Prime Color in Pop of Pink

Benefit So Hooked on Carmella Fragrance

Deborah Lippman Naked Nail Lacquer

Dr. Dennis Gross Powerful Sun Protection SPF 30 Towelettes

Field Notes Memo Books

I would love to think that this method is correct for June, but I'm not holding my breath. I think the above products would make a great box and I would be really happy with it. It's just that it almost seems too good to be true. So will I actually get all or any of the above products? Hopefully, but that remains to be seen. Nobody will really know for sure until their boxes arrive on their porch in a couple weeks. But isn't it kinda fun to go to such great lengths to try to guess the surprise? :)

Looking Back: January Glam Bag

The theme in January was Back To Nature and contained products that are "good for the planet and good for you" according to the description card. This was the second Glam Bag, and the one that disappointed many of us after such an awesome first bag with great brands and makeup.

I think many if not most people who signed up for MyGlam initially did so because they thought it was going to be mostly makeup. I know that is why I signed up. The skincare, haircare and other random items in other subscription boxes didn't interest me, I wanted to try new makeup brands and products. When I received this bag, I was a bit disappointed but I figured I would give everything in the bag a chance anyway. Looking back after five months, this is probably the most disappointing Glam Bag I have received.

The January Bag:
The January Glam Bag.
The bag itself is kinda cute. The nature theme is obvious but not obnoxious. The material feels like canvas or linen and it has a plastic coating inside. The coating is great because if anything spills inside it would be easy to clean. The outside would probably stain easily though. I actually just used the bag for the first time to hold my vitamins and such while I was on vacation.

Sheer Cover Duo Concealer.
I believe this was a full size product and it retails for $29. The color it came in was light/medium. I used it for a couple weeks but found that I preferred other concealers I had already been using. Neither color was really right for me and I didn't like the texture quite as much as other concealers I used. The coverage with this seemed a little thin. I don't really have much to say about it other than that I tried it and it didn't work for me. I don't currently use it.

Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner.
This a natural conditioner that is supposed to clean your hair without stripping it of natural oils it needs. I used it a few times and I have to say I hated everything about it except the smell. (I loved the mint almond smell!) My hair just didn't feel clean after I used this product. I wouldn't describe myself as someone with oily hair, in fact its not uncommon for me to go 3-4 days without washing my hair. I definitely couldn't do that while using this product because it's claim is true, it leaves the oils in your hair. I guess thats fine if you wash your hair everyday (you're not supposed to) but it just didn't work for me.

Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Masque.
This was another full size product, which is cool. I'm just not into using different makeup removers for eyes and the rest of my face, using a facial cleanser and scrub, different moisturizers for different times of the day, masks, etc. My skincare routine basically consists of makeup removing wipes and lotion. I know I should care more but I just don't make the time for it. It has to be easy or I just won't bother. That said, I did try this masque a couple of times (twice I think.) I like the cucumber smell, I liked the way it felt on my face but it's just too much work for my lazy self. It didn't change my life (maybe it would have if I used it more?) and I just haven't picked it up since.

theBalm Cosmetics Hot Ticket Nail Polish.
The one I got is called The Missing Pink and it is a super light pink. I did paint my nails with it once and the application was good but very sheer. I believe it took 4 coats to get opaque and while I like the color, I'm not willing to work that hard for it. That would be 6 coats of nail polish total if you used base and top coats too. Crazy! And far too much time to spend painting my nails and waiting for them to dry. This was one of the either/or options for the month of January, if you didn't get a polish you got a full sized eyeshadow instead. I love theBalm's eyeshadow palettes and really wish I would have received an eyeshadow. I at least wish I had received a different color of polish. I have only used this one once due to the sheerness, and in all honesty probably wont use it again.

I don't use any of the products that came in my January Glam Bag besides having just used the bag for a trip. I am glad I am using part of it finally, but overall the January Glam Bag was kind of a waste for me. What a bummer!

MyGlam: The May Glam Bag

May 2012 Glam Bag

Here it is! My May Glam Bag. If you follow MyGlam on Facebook then you have already seen the sneak peeks for this month. The theme for May is "Love is in the Air" and that is definitely apparent in this Glam Bag. The bag itself is covered in pink kiss prints and there is lots of pink, hearts and "love" inside. I just got it in the mail a little while ago and decided to open it right away and share photos. This is just going to be a quick look inside my May Glam Bag since I haven't had the opportunity to try any of the products yet.

The description card for the May Glam Bag
As always, there is a card inside describing the products included in this month's bag. If you click to enlarge the image above, you can read the descriptions.

Studio Gear lipstick in Pink Blush
Studio Gear Complete Color Lipstick
My Glam describes this as "Rich color that plumps and hydrates for perfectly kissable lips." The shade I got is called Pink Blush and I have swatched it for you below. The brand sounds vaguely familiar, so I googled it and discovered that they sell it at Ulta. I have probably seen the line there before but haven't paid much attention to it. They didn't have this shade on the Ulta website, but the lipsticks are $15 each.
Here are a quick shot of the name of the lipstick on the box and a swatch of it on my hand. I'm not sure the lipstick is a color I'll love on myself but I will at least try it and see.

Philosophy Love Sweet Love Fragrance Sample
Philosophy Love Sweet Love Fragrance
According to MyGlam, "Feel smitten and irresistibly pretty with this flirty, fruity fragrance." It does smell fruity to me, maybe a little citrus in there. This is also sold at Ulta and the full size bottle (2 oz.) is $42. Sephora sells Philosophy too, as do many other retailers. It is pretty widely available. I always love their packaging on their shower gels. They often include recipes for the baked goods their scents mimic. I always thought that was a really cute idea. I actually think I will wear this perfume today since I haven't put any on yet.

Miss Beauty Nail Bling
Miss Beauty Nail Bling
MyGlam describes these as "Nail art that will make you fall head over heels in an instant." These are nail decals that claim to last up to 10 days and apply the same way the Sally Hansen polish strips do. There are many brands of nail decals like these of all different price ranges, you can find them everywhere from the drugstore to the mall. I haven't ever tried anything like them before, so I might give these a shot. However, I'm not a huge fan of the pink hearts. It just seems a bit "little girl" to me.

MyGlam makeup brushes
MyGlam Concealer and Defining Eyeliner Brushes
The MyGlam brushes were a fun idea and seem to be pretty high quality. These are the last 2 in the set of signature pink brushes. I like the size of the concealer brush, it is a little smaller than the E.L.F. one I currently use so I think it will come in handy. We already got the angled eyeliner brush in the last Glam Bag, so maybe this one is more for smudging the liner out? Its actually a great size for using a matching powder to go over any liner you already applied, perhaps I will use it for that.

Overall, I expect I will try out 4 of the 5 things included in my May Glam Bag. The only think I'm not sure about are those nail decals. The bag did not include any extra offers or discounts this month. Thats fine with me, I never remember to use the coupon codes and special offers anyway.

Did you get your May Glam Bag yet? What did you get that was different from mine? What did you think of it? I hope those of you that are MyGlam subscribers enjoy your bags this month!

If you aren't a MyGlam member and want to be, make sure you register so you can be added to the waitlist to reserve your spot when more subscriptions open. Good Luck!

Looking Back: December Glam Bag

December 2011 Glam Bag
It has been 6 months since the initial Glam Bag was sent out in December. It feels like so long ago, but time sure has gone by quickly! I should be getting the May Glam Bag in the mail any day now, which will be my 6th bag. Being in the sixth month of my MyGlam subscription, it also means that I have spent $60 to date on Glam Bags. What did I get for $60? Is there anything I am still using? Is there anything I never used at all? What have I loved? What have I hated? I thought this would be a good point to take a look back at my past Glam Bags and see.

The December Bag:
The December Glam Bag has an attached mirror.
The Bag.
In my opinion, the bag is okay but not my favorite. The little mirror might come in handy, if the bag wasn't sitting in a stack with other makeup bags I'm not currently using. The fabric is shiny, a little stiff and feels like it would get dirty quickly. I'm sure I can find a use for it at some point, which is why I keep it in that stack of makeup bags I mentioned. It's not that there is anything wrong with it per se but I obviously don't love it or I would have used it already.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Istanbul.
The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme.
The color I got is Istanbul, a light natural pink. This is sort of a hybrid between a lipstick and a lipgloss, a cream lipstick if you will. It applies very smoothly, smells pretty good and has decent lasting power. It did to settle into the creases of my lips a little though. It doesn't have much of a taste, which is fine with me because while that can be good, it can sometimes be really bad. To be honest, I actually haven't opened the one that came in my Glam Bag. I happened to purchase the exact same color right before my Glam Bag came. I have only used it a few times and have been hanging onto the one from my Glam Bag. (I have a samples/extras drawer that it currently lives in.)

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.
The Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.
This is another product from that Glam Bag that remains unused due to me purchasing it right before the Glam Bag came. Again, the sample that came in my Glam Bag sits in my sample/extras drawer. Through Black Friday deals and holiday sets I purchased, I ended up with a larger sample size and a full size of this mascara. I have used the other sample size I got a bunch of times and actually really like this mascara. This is probably my second favorite mascara after the BUXOM Lash in Blackest Black. I keep that other sample in my purse for mascara touchups, in case I walk out the door and forgot to put mascara on, etc. (Sort of my "in case of mascara emergencies" mascara.) Once I use up my first sample, this one will replace it. I haven't opened the full size one I got yet because I am trying to use up the two BUXOM mascaras I currently have open, but I know I use it.

Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow.
I have an Urban Decay Naked palette. I use it a ton. Since It contains this shade, Sin, I haven't opened this full sized one yet. So yet again, this sits in my samples/extras drawer. I love, love, LOVE Urban Decay eyeshadows and this one is no different. I just don't see the point of opening it until I need to.

Urban Decay's famous Primer Potion.
Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Fondly abbreviated UDPP to those of us who are UD fanatics (at least in online references to it.) I mentioned above that I love Urban Decay eyeshadows and I definitely LOVE Primer Potion too. I haven't tried that many eyeshadow primers, but of those I have tried this is my absolute favorite. (For the record, I have tried Too Faced Shadow Insurance, E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer and Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer. Too Faced is actually pretty good too but UD is still my favorite.) If you are a fan of Urban Decay, like me, you probably own a palette or two or three. I bet they came with sample sizes of UDPP. I think I have 3 of these sample size primers (or I did until I gave some to friends...) as well as a full size, a professional size of it in Eden (The matte version of UDPP) and samples sizes of all the variations (Eden, Greed and Sin.) I LOVE this stuff. In case that isn't already apparent. So while I do still have this one last sample size of UDPP in Original, I am saving it for travel. It is just so convenient to have small version of one of my favorite products for when I need to save space in my makeup bag. If you have never tried UDPP, I highly recommend it.

The orange squares are Mai Couture Blush Papiers.
Mai Couture Blush Papiers.
The color I got is peachy, it is called Sunset Blvd. I haven't touched these since I got them until I took the above photo today. They were still inside the Glam Bag, sitting in the stack of makeup bags I mentioned earlier. Okay, can I just say this... while this seems like a cool idea in theory, I'm just not that into it. (I actually forgot to take a photo of the blush papiers solo, that might be a hint. lol) I haven't tried them, I probably wont... I will probably forget about them again. Sorry if that is really close minded. I just don't even care. Blotting papers from Mai Couture were also included in the December Glam Bag and I forgot to include them in the photo. I haven't used those either, just for the record.

So, basically I haven't touched a single item that came in my December Glam Bag. Not because they aren't great products, but because I already have another sample or full size of almost all the products. I actually like or love four of the five products that came in this Glam Bag even though I haven't used the specific samples that I got in that bag yet. I will definitely use the Urban Decay and Tarte samples I got. The NYX will probably be given to a friend or something since I don't tend to use lip glosses up and I doubt I'll even finish the one I bought. Finally, like I just mentioned, I'll probably never use the Mai Couture Blush Papiers. Overall, I am happy with the products and brands that were included in the Glam Bag for December, and I know I will use at least three of the five products up.

If you want to sign up for My Glam, click here to go to their website and begin the beauty quiz/registration. You will be added to a waitlist and offered a subscription as soon as one comes available.

NYX Cosmetics 40% off at Cherry Culture

I just got this in my inbox! Cherry Culture is having a 40% off sale on NYX Cosmetics! All sale items are marked with a little red SALE icon. Add these items to your cart then use the code NYX40 at checkout to get the discount. The sale ends May 6th, which is this coming Sunday!

I have ordered from Cherry Culture before, back when they had sales around Christmas time. It does take them longer to process orders when they have big sales like this, so you won't necessarily get your items quickly. However, everything I ordered came packaged really well and perfectly intact.

Never tried NYX before? Here are some products I like that are part of the sale:
I have several including Peach and Pinched. Love them. These are a favorite of Marlena from Makeup Geek, in fact I purchased the two shades I mentioned based on what she used in some of her tutorials. Here is the tutorial for her Birthday Look where she uses Pinched blush.
Pearl Mania Pigments
These little loose powder eyeshadows are great, I have almost all of them. I do find the containers they come in hard to work with though, so I suggest dumping a little product out onto a paper plate or something and using it from there. Or simply purchase some small jars with sifters (like how the Bare Minerals eyeshadows come) and transfer the product to those.
Slim Lip Pencils
I haven't tried their retractable pencils but these are pretty good for how inexpensive they are and there are so many colors to choose from! I also saw these recommended on
Single Eyeshadows
I have a bunch of these and they can be hit and miss. I like most of the ones I have, but avoid any with glitter because they will be fallout central! Also avoid the matte white shade. The matte black is awesome though! Here are Marlena from Makeup Geek's recommendations on the 10 Best Nyx Eyeshadows to Start Your Collection. Here is one more resource I use if I am thinking of buying NYX single eyeshadows. Asphyxiation on owns all 162 shades and swatched them all here.

I have also heard some good things about the Butt Naked Palette (even though I hate the name...) It is regularly $25 but is included in this sale. The NYX Girls Round Lip glosses are included too, I have not tried these but I have read that people like them better than the Mega Shine lip glosses. Unfortunately, some of my favorite products aren't included in the sale, like the Round Lipsticks and Jumbo Eye Pencils. There are still many great options at 40% off though, so if you are thinking of trying some products from NYX, now might be the time!

What are your favorite products from NYX? Are you planning on buying anything during this sale? What will you purchase?

Jennifer Aniston Perfume

I know this came out a while ago... and I have to say I smelled it at Sephora and hated it when it first came out. I got the sample shown above probably about 6 months ago and it sat in a little tin full of perfume samples until today. Today I decided to open the tin, pull out a random fragrance and try something new. This is the one I picked up. After wearing it today, I've decided I actually love it.

Sephora descibes this fragrance as follows:

In the creation of her debut fragrance, Jennifer Aniston called to mind her earliest and most beloved recollections of scent. Evoking memories of sunny days at the beach and happy summer nights, this captivating composition includes light, blooming floral notes set against a sensual base of must and woods.
Citrus Grove Accord, Rose Water, Jasmine, Violet, Amazon Lily, Musk, Amber, Sandalwood.
Sensual. Floral. Clean.

Honestly, I can't pick out a single one of those notes in the perfume, but to me it smells like sunscreen and summer. I personally love the smell of sunscreen because it reminds me of the beach, summertime and fun. I love summer and sunshine, even though ours are short in Western Washington. It is pretty light to me, assuming you don't spray too much on. I have been wearing it all day now and I keep getting little whiffs of that beachy sunscreen scent, but I like it. It is definitely a casual, summery fragrance not meant for special occasions, formal affairs or fall and winter.

OVERALL: To me it is a sublte, fun and slightly flirty scent reminiscent of and perfect for summer.

Would I purchase the full size? Definitely! I don't know what made me not like it the first time I smelled it (perhaps too many fragrances in the air already?) but I am glad I got a sample size to be able to try it out. Now I know I love it and I think this could be a new favorite for summer for me.

My Fragrance Samples:
Speaking of that little tin, here is a photo. It is from MAC back when they had the Tartan Tales mini pigment giftsets. I believe this was the Christmas 2010 collection. You can still get them at the CCO though, at least mine still has a couple. I love the little tin, it is a perfect size for keeping all my perfume samples together.
As you can see, it holds quite a few. I got almost all of these from online orders from Sephora. Everytime there are perfume samples available that I don't already have, I get them. I just think they are more fun than many of the samples, like when you get a dime sized drop of lotion in a little packet or something. Besides, its much better to try a fragrance a couple times for free before deciding if you want to purchase a full size or not.

Random thoughts...

Hey there,

It has been awhile! Basically I got super busy during the last couple quarters of school and the holidays and I guess never got back to it. :-/

I have been thinking about this blog a lot though and what I want to post on it, what I want it to look like, etc. I have a bunch of ideas of posts I'd like to write and even some videos to film and post on my Youtube channel. When I do I will link the videos here as well.

I want to redesign the look of the blog as well, so if you do start seeing changes on my blog, that is why. I'm thinking hot pink, black and white. One of my favorite color combinations ever, and what I decided I would want my makeup room to look like (if/when I ever get one...) so why not have my blog the same? Once I come up with a design, I will make sure my Facebook page, Twitter and Youtube channel all have the same look to keep everything consistent.

If you aren't following me on Facebook, feel free to "like" me at any time! I have been posting on that quite regularly, mostly sharing deals and freebies I come across. All of those posts are linked to my Twitter account, so they should show up both places. Please like or follow either or both if you want!

As always, your feedback and suggestions are welcome! You can email me here, write me on my Facebook page or just comment down below! :)

Brainstorm Session:

Here is my little list of ideas. Hopefully I will look back at this post if I run out of ideas and look for some inspiration.
-Favorite products (I have discovered some true favorites over the last year.)
-Monthly favorites/hauls (Talking about new products I tried each month, what I did and didn't like.)
-Samples (I have tried a lot of sample sized products, my thoughts on them and if I would purchase.)
-Follow Friday type lists (My favorite people on YT, FB, etc and why I like them.)
-Drugstore vs High End (My experiences with different products, what I like, don't like, etc.)
-What's in my purse/makeup bag/etc.  (I like to see these, do you?)
-Makeup storage/organization (I've spent a lot of time on this in the last year, it has changed a bunch.)
-Applying makeup to others/becoming a MUA (Learn as I learn. I have been working on a kit.)
-Other favorite products (Not necessarily makeup, such as self tanners, skincare, haircare, etc.)

Better than chocolate??

Oh yes, I think so! The eyeshadows in the photo are all MAC of course. I have been picking up a lot of great finds from my local CCO lately and I got a couple of Nordstrom giftcards for Christmas. What better to spend Nordstrom giftcards on than makeup, right? I still have one and I have been wanting to try something from Nars... so that might be next on the list!

If you are already following me on Facebook: CosmeticAddiction then you probably already saw this photo last night. I also posted it on Pinterest, so if you are interested in following my Cosmetic Addiction board, feel free! I have been pinning photos of makeup looks and products I like or want to try! I'm on Twitter too @CosmeticAddictn if you want to follow me there. I haven't been having a ton of time to write on this blog but I am still posting constantly on Facebook, Twitter and now on Pinterest too.

So if you are wondering, no, I did not actually get this as a gift. I just thought this would be a super cute photo for Valentine's Day that included makeup. Luckily, I live with a photographer otherwise you would be seeing a cell phone picture. (You can check him out on his Facebook Page: ERustPhoto or on his website: He is great!)

Happy Valentine's Day from Cosmetic Addiction!  :)
