Swatched & Reviewed: Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadows

Now here are two colors I frequently end up buying together. Neutrals and lavenders are some of my favorite eyeshadow colors. These two are from the single Color Icon eyeshadows that Wet n Wild offers. Nutty is a cool light brown that has a little bit of a golden reflection. Kitten is a light lavender that also has sort of a golden reflection.

They are packaged in slim containers with flip open lids. I can really appreciate the packaging, it is so no-nonsense. Not a bunch of extra plastic, no weird shapes and none of those worthless little applicators that eyeshadows often come with. The size and shape of these is great. Even the most stuffed full makeup drawer can likely fit a couple of these.

Both shadows have a good texture, neither is chalky. Nutty has really nice pigmentation but Kitten is a little light. It is not difficult to build up the color though, so you can achieve a nice lavender color. I have been using the two together by putting Kitten allover my lid and blending Nutty into the crease and smoking it out. I then go in with a lighter nude shade for my inner corner and highlight. (I believe I was using the ELF Mineral eyeshadow in Innocent.)

These single eyeshadows retail for $1.99. I purchased these two during a BOGO half off sale at Fred Meyer. For the price, you definitely can't go wrong. I can't wait to try out more of these. There are 7 colors total in the collection. I look forward to trying Brulee (a matte cream shade), Sugar (a shimmery white) and Envy (a jungle green.)
