Bare Escentuals Sweet Escape Set: Swatched

Good afternoon! Here are some photos of the packaging and swatches of the Bare Escentuals Sweet Escape set. I ordered this set from Sephora and received it several weeks back. I didn't really get a chance to play with the colors until the other day... (I have been waiting for some sun to take the pictures and it has been super rainy or even snowy around here!!)

The set is available at Sephora HERE for $28. When I looked I did not see it on the Bare Escentuals website. I googled it as well and could not find it for sale on any other site that didn't link it back to Sephora. It is available online only at Sephora and is a limited edition set. It doesn't come in a cute little box like most of their sets, instead the items arrived wrapped in tissue paper inside a Bare Minerals printed envelope. This is how I have received other Sephora online-only Bare Escentuals sets in the past as well.

The set includes a full size Buxom Lash mascara in Black Noir, a full size Buxom Lips in Eva (warm rose) and two full size eyeshadows in Exotic Tara (tropical teal glimmer) and Nouveau (cream peach matte.) This is an EXCELLENT value for $28 dollars. The eyeshadows regularly retail for $13 each, the lipgloss and mascara retail for $18 each. This is a $62 value for $28, less than half price.

Buxom Lash mascara is my favorite mascara, hands down. I have probably tried at least one from every brand at the drugstore, plus a few Clinique mascaras and a different Bare Minerals mascara. I LOVE Buxom Lash. The wand is great at coating the lashes and separating them. It is just so easy to use with fantastic results.

The Buxom Lips gloss is a plumping gloss, so it has a long-lasting tingly sensation. I don't care for the tingly part too much but the colors are decent. I have had a few samples of it in the past and never used those up. I do use them but only occasionally, when I need that specific color and I apply them very lightly. They provide a nice sheer color and some sparkle.

I love Bare Minerals eyeshadows. I have so many of them and I just can't stop buying them. They last forever because you don't have to use a whole at a time. I often apply them wet, as you get much better color payoff this way. The colors in this kit are fun and summery.

And now for swatches of everything. Left to right in all swatch pictures: Black Noir mascara, Eva lipgloss, Exotic Tara eyeshadow and Nouveau eyeshadow. These swatches are on clean bare skin and the shadows are applied dry.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I will be needing a new mascara soon, so this can serve as my backup. Since I would have spent $18 on that mascara, buying this kit instead is like getting 2 full sized eyeshadows and a gloss I will use sometimes for only $10! I love these kits and these colors will be so fun for this summer. Now, if only the sun would stay out for more than a day or two at a time. :)
Thanks for looking!
