MyGlam December Bag

I literally just opened my first MyGlam bag and I already love the contents! I am already familiar with most of the brands & products inside, but I think the value of this bag is amazing. It is only $10 a month (or $100 if you sign up for a year at once) and this came with all of the following:

*FULL SIZE* NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul
*FULL SIZE* Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin
Deluxe Sample of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original
Sample of Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
Sample of Mai Couture Blush Papier
(FULL SIZE?) of Mai Couture Salicylic Acid Blemish Control Blotting Papiers

My Opinions/First Impressions:
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: I love almost all (if not all!) the NYX products I own. I have not used this product before but it smells delicious, like cupcake batter. Istanbul is definitely a color I would have picked for myself, it is a pretty pinkish nude shade. One of my favorite YouTubers keeps talking about this product, so I am really excited to try this!
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin: I have this color in my Naked Palette. It is a beautiful champagne color that makes a great highlight, inner corner or all over lid color. This is a very versatile color and it is supposed to be one of Urban Decay's best selling shades.
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original: I already have a couple sample size tubes and a full size one of this product. I use it every day and it makes such a world of difference when it comes to the staying power of eyeshadow. I'll always happily accept another travel size of this! It is definitely one of my holy grail products.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: This product is a fairly new discovery for me. I first tried it about a month ago when I purchased a Tarte kit that included it. Prior to trying this mascara, I was pretty convinced that BUXOM Lash Mascara would always be my holy grail mascara. I still absolutely love BUXOM Lash, but I am finding room in my makeup routine to use this mascara on occasion. This one looks so natural I love to use it when I want to go for the no makeup look and just wear foundation and mascara.
Mai Couture Blush Papiers/Blotting Papers: These are the only new products to me in the bunch, but I have to say I am intrigued by blush papers. My Glam Bag came with a postcard that has a couple sheets of blushing paper on the back. They look really orangey to me, so I'm not sure I will like them but it is a very interesting concept. I have never used blotting papers, but I guess now I have them if I want to start!

OVERALL: As I said above, I think this is an excellent value for $10. There was no charge for shipping, and you get everything above including the little makeup bag. It also came with a coupon code for $15 off the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV. The full size NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream retails for $6 and the full size Urban Decay eyeshadow retails for $17. That is already a $23 value not factoring in the approximate value of the sample sized and makeup bag. I hope the bags continue to be this great every month, because as of right now MyGlam Bags are a solid win!

NYX Champagne and Caviar

NYX Champagne & Caviar (cell phone pic)
I just pulled this palette out to swatch it for the first time and wanted to share a quick photo. These are really pretty neutral colors with nice pigmentation and smooth texture. Like most of the products I have tried from NYX, I'm impressed! If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Naked palette or Naked2 from Urban Decay, this might be a great option for you. This palette retails at around $11 but I got it during the 40% off NYX sale on Cherry Culture last month. Here are some links if you are interested in purchasing it:

Buy it at Ulta!
($10.99 but NYX is BOGO 1/2 off this week... and you can use coupon code 64069 to save $3.50 off any $10 purchase, or 11410 for $10 off any $60 online purchase! Codes valid through 12/17/11.)

Buy it at Cherry Culture!
($8.50 on sale, plus get an extra 20% off your entire purchase with code WHS20 through 12/15/11.)

Swatched: Urban Decay NAKED2

The long awaited sequel to the infamous Urban Decay Naked Palette is here! Naked2 is another set of 12 neutrals in a cool metal case. This time it comes with a mini Lip Junkie lipgloss in Naked and a double sided Good Karma eyeshadow brush. The first 5000 of these palettes went on sale on Thursday 12/1 just before 10 am PST on Urban Decay's website. I ordered mine and received an order confirmation within minutes. The palette was on my front porch by Saturday, 12/3. Every time I order something from their website, it arrives very quickly. They always pack everything well too, I have never had a problem with broken items. The consistency of their shipping speed and quality is very impressive.

Back to Naked2, I am already impressed with the case. While I was working on the photos below, I accidentally dropped the palette from a height of about 3 1/2 feet. The palette was closed, and I don't know if the results would have been the same if it had been open but in this case everything is still perfectly intact. (Whew! I would have hated to destroy my new palette within minutes of actually opening it.) The colors are all very beautiful, but I have slightly mixed reactions about them once swatched. In all of the following swatches, I swatched each color twice. The left side is with no base or primer and on the right it is over Urban Decay Primer Potion in original. With the metallic and shimmery shades the primer doesn't make much of a difference in the actual color. The couple matte shades are the ones that needed it the most.

Above are all the double swatches in a row. (Click on any of these photos to enlarge them.)

Here are the first three colors in the palette: Foxy, Half Baked and Bootycall. Foxy is a matte pale cream color. As you can see, it barely shows up on my skin. Even with the primer! It should still work as a highlight shade though. Half Baked is the only color that is a repeat from the original Naked palette. It is a light peachy gold color. While I love the color, I wish they had added another color instead so there were no repeats. I like to use this shade as an allover eyelid color. Bootycall is a very light slightly pinkish pearl shade. It has a nice smooth texture and would be good as a highlight.

The next three shades are Chopper, Tease and Snakebite. Chopper is a light peachy copper color. The texture is softer than some of the others, so be careful not to dig too hard into the eyeshadow or you will get far too much product. It appears to have glitter in it, at least when you look at the color in the pan. I don't see much glitter once it is swatched though. Tease is another matte shade. The color is a muted purpley gray. This is one of the shades I was most excited about in this palette. It takes some work to get color payoff, but I like the color so much I feel it's worth it. As you can see in the photo above, this is definitely one of those colors that behaves better with a primer. Snakebite is a deep bronze color with a slightly golden sheen to it. This is another color I was looking forward to and I think it will be a great crease color. It is also sort of soft, at least when swatching it with my finger.

The next three are Suspect, Pistol and Verve. Suspect is a very pretty light gold color. It is a neutral gold, no peachy tones here. Pistol is a light gunmetal gray color. This shade would be great for the crease for a lighter smokey eye! Verve is a frosty grayish pearl shade. I already have this color in my Rollergirl Palette and I love using it to highlight my inner corners of my eyes. Actually, Suspect is also in the Rollergirl Palette and I love using the two together.

The last three colors are YDK, Busted and Blackout. YDK is a little soft in texture. The color is sort of a metallic rose. Busted is a deep slightly plummy brown. I think these two colors would look great together, using YDK on your eyelid and Busted in your crease. Blackout is a matte black. As you can see, you get a much more intense black shade over primer.

Overall, Urban Decay makes great quality shadows and the brand is definitely one of my favorites but I wasn't blown away by this palette. If I could make any changes to it I wanted, I would scrap Half Baked and throw in another neutral color instead. I would also want to improve the color payoff in the matte shades, especially Tease. I don't care for double sided brushes too much, so I would have rather had just one full sized crease brush or a full sized liner. The mini Lip Junkie lip gloss is cute but tiny. Personally, I probably didn't need this one because I already have a lot of Urban Decay eyeshadows, but I do think there are some great colors in here and I know I will use it at least for those. If you don't already have a bunch of Urban Decay then this could be a great purchase for you.

Urban Decay Naked2 Palette! (currently out of stock as of 12/5, but they should be getting more in soon!)

When you click the link, it takes you to the Urban Decay Facebook Page with this message:

My fingers are crossed and I'm holding my breath until December 1st to find out for sure if this is the new Naked palette! I don't know what else it could be, especially considering the rumors that the new Naked palette would be released on 12/1/11. I can't wait!!

So definitely make sure you are signed up for their emails if you are not already! You can do so by clicking on the link above and there is a link from their Facebook page. Or if you go to Urban Decay's website, it will prompt you from the home page.

UPDATE!! On the Urban Decay Twitter account, they posted this message this morning:

screen shot from UD Twitter @UrbanDecay411

They also playfully reply to tweets about getting Naked2. I'd say that confirms it! I don't know about you, but I'm saving some money in my bank account for this!

Thank you to Zadidoll for pointing out the tweets to me. :)

Hope all of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving today have a wonderful day full of food, family and (for those of you who are care) football. I am thankful for the great people I have in my life, that I have a job, a roof over my head and food in my fridge. Oh and of course I'm thankful for Sephora. (lol) I hope everyone is as lucky as I am.

What are you thankful for today?

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

UD Black Friday Deal TODAY!

image from Urban Decay email

In my previous post this morning, I told you about Urban Decay offering this deal:

On Black Friday, November 25th. The first 1000 customers to order the Book of Shadows Vol. IV and use code: BLACKFRIDAY11 at checkout with get $20 off!

Well, exciting news! They accidentally mailed out that email, and since their Black Friday deal was leaked they will be honoring it TODAY as well as on Black Friday! Click link below to go straight to the palette.. remember this is only for the first 1000 people and there is a limit of 5 palettes per order!
So hurry hurry over to Urban Decay to pick up your palette!

New NYX Retailers

NYX Cosmetics are now available at limited locations of two new retailers. This is a great brand that is really inexpensive, but can be hard to find a good selection. Only a couple of drugstore chains and Ulta carried it until now. According to the NYX Tumblr page, the brand is now available at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores and Nordstroms. If you have been having trouble finding NYX, take a look at these lists and see if there is a new retailer near you. Hopefully they will continue to expand to more locations of these stores to make their products more widely available. Here are the details from the NYX Tumblr page:

I saw that these are also online: NYX Cosmetics on Nordstrom.com.

Urban Decay Black Friday Deal!

image from Urban Decay email

Urban Decay is offering this deal on Black Friday, November 25th. The first 1000 customers to order the Book of Shadows Vol. IV and use code: BLACKFRIDAY11 at checkout with get $20 off! Thats only $44 for this palette! Limit 5 per order. Good luck!!

Ulta Black Friday Deals!

Image from Ulta.com
Ulta is having some great deals on Black Friday as well! All locations will open no later than 6am. Check your local Ulta for their hours on Black Friday. The deals will also go live online at midnight. A preview of their Black Friday as was supposed to be available on their website as of midnight, but as I am writing this it is almost 12:30am and no ad yet. I'm sure it will be online soon, so if you want to look at it on the Ulta website just check in the morning. I did find a good scan of the ad on this website, so here it is:

It looks like there will be a coupon included where that blacked out box is on the bottom. I am guessing it is 25% off one item, since the hair dryer above it says "25% off with coupon" and is positioned right above the empty spot. I have seen this in Ulta ads before, where a price is advertised using the attached coupon.

I'm definitely interested in the Benefit Box o' Powders set. If I am only able to get one thing, I hope that is it! The Tarte set looks good and those Bare Minerals sets for only $10 are a great deal. With a few prestige brands, several drugstore brands, makeup, hair, beauty tools and fragrance... there seems to be a little something for everyone!

Happy Shopping!

Update (6am PST): The ad is up on the Ulta website! Not sure how long it has been but it is there now under current ads. There seem to be links to all the items but they are broken at the moment for most of them. Assuming these work on Friday, that could make shopping faster and easier!

Sephora Black Friday Deals!

If you "like" Sephora on Facebook, then you might have already seen this post they did last Friday. They are offering 10 items for $10 each next week for Black Friday. These deals are available for one day only, Black Friday November 25th, 2011. The deals end at 11:59pm PST. These are not available at Sephora inside JC Penney. These deals are available online and in stores with a limit of 2 each per person. Here is a screenshot of the list they posted:

Sorry it is a little small, that is the only way I could fit the whole image in my computer screen. You can go to the Sephora Facebook page to see it regular size. In case you can't read the print, the 10 items being offered for $10 are below. I am not sure if there will be a special link for these when they are on sale or if you will just ad the regular item to your cart on Black Friday and the price will be reduced automatically. I will link what I can below to their listing on Sephora. Some of these are not currently on Sephora, so I assume the sets they are offering are exclusives for Black Friday.

Tarte
multiplEYE primer and Lights, Camera, Lashes! duo  ($30 value)
Josie Maran
   Argan Color Stick ($32 value)
BUXOM
Welcome to the Party - appears to be full size liner and mascara ($33 value)
The Art Of Shaving
Sandalwood 4 Elements of a Perfect Shave starter set ($25 value)
Tokidoki
Cromatico eye shadow palettes - choose from 5 shades ($25 value)
Korres
Guava All Butter Moisture Therapy Pack ($22 value)
Stila
Glitz and Glam palette & Lip Glaze ($76 value)
Bare Minerals
All Decked Out - looks like a lip gloss, blush and brush ($44 value)
Sephora
Collection Travel Brush Set ($30 value)
Kat Von D
   Adora Fragrance ($55 value)

There are several things I know I'm interested in! The two I am really hoping to get are the BUXOM and Bare Minerals sets. (You all know I love my BUXOM Lash mascara!) I am also interested in the Josie Maran Argan Color Stick, the Korres set and the Tokidoki palettes since I have never tried any of those products before. I am assuming everything will sell out quickly, so whether you go to the store or shop online, be ready! No word yet on when these deals will go live online. You should call your local Sephora to find out when they will be opening on Black Friday.

Happy Shopping!

(On orders from Canada, each item will be $12 and the Art of Shaving set is not available.)

Sephora Clearance Finds (& Holiday Gift Ideas!)

If you never check the Sale section on Sephora, you should start! I always find some great deals. You have to check often to see a big variety though. There are a bunch of products that go on clearance and just sit there for a long time, but the best deals go on clearance and are gone fairly quickly. Here are a couple great deals that are available now and would also make good gifts.

(A $331 value!)
Original Price: $52
Sale Price: $36.50

This palette contains 17 new limited edition eyeshadows that vary in different finishes. There are a couple of matte shades, a couple of glittery shades and many with frosty or metallic finishes. It also comes with an EmphasEYES Aqua-Gel Eyeliner in Black, a Lights,Camera,Lashes! Mascara in Black and a Lifted Natural Eye Primer. All three of these are in limited edition True Blood packaging. The eyeshadows are all 0.07oz. It does not say if these are full size, but they are larger than the 0.04oz eyeshadows in The Starlet Makeup Vanity holiday palette and the same size as the eyeshadows in the Rising Star palette. I am assuming these are full sized. The eyeliner is full size at 0.003oz. The mascara is 0.1 oz, which is about 40% of the full size. The eye primer is 0.06oz, a little less than half of the full size version. I had considered purchasing it when it came out, but I'm glad I waited to get the sale price! One of these is on it's way to me, so watch for my review and swatches. This would make a great gift for a True Blood fan and makeup lover!
image from Sephora.com

(A $54 value!)
Original Price: $29
Sale Price: $24

This set contains a full size of my holy grail mascara, BUXOM Lash in Blackest Black. It also has a full size of another BUXOM product I love, the Stay There Eyeshadow in Beagle. I love to use eyeshadow primer, then apply a thin layer of the Stay There Eyeshadows to use as a base for my powder eyeshadow. The kit also includes a 0.07oz travel size BUXOM Big & Healthy Lipgloss in Dani, a pretty berry pink. The BUXOM Insider Eyeliner in Black Jasper, a dark blue-gray, is also travel size at 0.007oz. Let me put it this way, the mascara alone is $19 and worth every penny in my opinion. So for $5 extra, you get a full size cream eyeshadow and two travel size products. The Stay There eyeshadows retail for $17 each when purchased separately. Honestly, I thought this was a great deal at it's regular price of $29 but it only got better when they cut the price by $5. Read my review of the Buxom Stay There Eyeshadows. This would be a fun gift to give or receive.
image from Sephora.com

(A $62-65 value!)
Original Price: $14
Sale Price: $9

These are fun sets of four eyeshadows and complimentary face powders. There are five different versions currently available on Sephora's website, but six are pictured. There are five from this year, but one is currently out of stock. There is also one left from last year's collection of palettes. The difference between the new ones and the old one is the blushes. In the new Beach palettes, you get a blush and a bronzer or highlighter. In the older Travel palette, there is a cream bronzer. The older version is the $65 value and the newer are a $62 value. I believe the difference in value is due to the switch from cream blush to powder. They are compact enough to travel with and since there are several color options, there is a little bit of something for everyone. I have one Stila eyeshadow palette (none of these) and do enjoy it. I think these would make a great stocking stuffer, small gift or be a fun addition to a gift basket. Click the photos to go directly to that palette on Sephora. I will also link the currently out of stock one (Stunning in Sayulita) in case it becomes available again.

ELF Haul October 2011

This is what I ended up buying with my last ELF Groupon: $35 worth of mineral makeup for $15. These are such a great deal, even though you still have to pay for shipping. For me, shipping cost $7. Total out of pocket for the $35 worth of mineral makeup would be $22. As you can see, I got a couple of non mineral brushes as well so I paid an extra $4 for the two of those, bringing my total out of pocket to $26.

I already have one of the ELF Studio Stipple brushes, and I LOVE it. I wrote about it in my Favorite Face Brushes post. I wrote that post back in July, and since then I love it even more. I now use this brush every day to apply my liquid foundation. It had definitely become one of my favorite brushes of all. When I use it, my face looks perfect... almost airbrushed. Like they say, the stipple brushes are supposed to give you a soft airbrushed look and I definitely agree. This brush is a steal at $3. I highly recommend it.

I have not yet tried the ELF Essentials Eyeliner brush. It is flat across the top, so I bought it with the intention of using it to tightline my eyes. I really just haven't gotten around to trying this yet, but I will let you know what I think when I do.

As for all the mineral products I got, I like what I have tried so far. I am already in love with the ELF Mineral Eyeshadows, but I own almost all the colors. I did get one of the 3 shades I didn't have and decided to use the rest of my Groupon towards some other mineral products I haven't tried. I got several lipsticks, a couple glosses, an eyeliner, a lip liner, eyeshadow primer and a lip tint. After testing all these out, I feel like I will have a pretty good idea about the ELF Mineral line color cosmetics.

Look for upcoming photos and swatches of all the mineral products I purchased. I will link all the separate posts below once I have them finished. Hopefully I will get at least one or two up late tonight or tomorrow morning and the rest will follow soon. :)

Swatched: Wet n Wild I ♥ Matte Palette

I have so many photos I have taken of products I have bought lately, so here is the first post of many. THis is the Wet n Wild I ♥ Matte palette. It is an 8-pan palette that is limited edition and exclusive to Walgreens. I found it on a cardboard end cap display with the baked holiday palettes. It retails for $4.99, but of course if there is a sale on Wet n Wild you can get it cheaper! I got it on sale for BOGO 1/2 off at the beginning of the month.

close up of the matte shadows
This is a great collection of neutral browns and a matte black, a matte white and a few bright colors in case you are feeling crazy. As the name suggests, these shadows are matte. Well, actually the bright blue has a metallic sheen to it. The dark purple has small sparse flecks of glitter but you can mostly buff those away. In fact, the two colors I just mentioned that are not matte are the only two unique to this palette. If you own the 6-pan palettes in Vanity, Greed and Pride you already have dupes for all the matte colors. Take a closer look at these swatches.

in shade, with flash

direct sunlight
So lets cover this from left to right in the photos above. (That's top to bottom and left to right if you are looking at the actual palette.) The first shade above is a matte white. In Pride, there is a matte white. The two are identical when swatched next to each other. Next is the green shade, which is identical to the matte green in Pride. The next two colors, the bright blue and dark purple, are actually unique to this palette. Both are very pretty colors and funny enough they are probably my two favorite in the Matte palette. Now I have a feeling it is because I have seen the other shades before. Moving on, the lightest matte brown is slightly darker than the lightest shade in Vanity but almost exact when compared to the lightest shade in Greed. It is also very close to the single in Brulee. If you have any of those, you already have this color. The medium brown shade in the Matte palette is identical to the middle matte shade in Greed. These are both a medium shade of brown that leans very orange, at least on my skin tone. You can barely tell the two apart when swatched. The only difference I can see is that the shade from Greed is ever so slightly pinker. The dark brown shade in the Matte palette is exactly the same as the dark brown matte shade in Vanity. Then of course, there is the matte black. This is very close to the matte black shade in Greed, however I find the matte black in Greed is more pigmented. In fact, if there was a difference at all in any of the identical colors, it was that the shades from the 6-pan palettes were slightly more pigmented than those from the Matte palette.

the back of the package
Overall, the quality seems on par with the rest of the Wet n Wild eyeshadows I have used. If anything, some of the colors were slightly less pigmented than their dupes from the 6-pan palettes Greed, Vanity and Pride. There are only two new and unique colors (that aren't even matte!) in this limited edition palette. Honestly, if you already have the three 6-pan palettes I mentioned, don't bother hunting this down unless you really want the bright blue and dark purple. If you don't have any of the 6-pan palettes, this might be a good buy for you, especially if you prefer matte eyeshadows. Personally, I love shimmer so even if I had purchased this Matte palette first, I likely would have still purchased all the 6-pan palettes. They have great shimmery shades! I don't see myself using this all too often, but I do plan on keeping it for the two unique shades.

Hope this helps you decide if you should purchase this palette or not! :)

Some recent makeup sightings...

I have been to a bunch of stores lately to check out the latest and greatest, so here is a quick rundown of what I have seen. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas out there in the retail world.
(Note: this is specifically what I have seen at stores near me in Western Washington. Selection may vary by location. Hopefully this just gives you an idea of what is out or what will be coming out soon.)

Cosmetics Company Outlet (CCO):
If you are not familiar with the CCO, read my post about it here.
You can see some of my past purchases here.
They had still had stuff from last holiday season including Venomous Villains and Tartan Tales. The newer stuff they had in was from Wonder Woman, Jeanius, Quite Cute, Peacocky, Surf Baby. They had the Big Bounce eyeshadows as well. Lots of permanent collection stuff as usual. I was excited to find Show Orchid lipstick there this time. This is a great place to get discounted perfumes too.

Nordstrom Rack:
I stopped by Nordstrom Rack last Friday and perused the makeup area. This is also a great place to buy perfumes at a discount. I always see a large selection. They used to have a Palladio display but I noticed this time that all the Palladio makeup has clearance stickers on it. It was all moved to some bins and containers at the bottom of a display with other brands of cosmetics on it. They have a large selection of Jane cosmetics, and they always have lots of fake lashes by Ardell. I often find Smashbox, Too Faced and Stila cosmetics for cheap here. This time, they the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Policy High Impact Eye Shadow Collection (currently about $34 on TooFaced.com but it was around $10-15 at the Rack.) There is usually some Too Faced Glamour Gloss and this time they had the Lockdown cream eyeshadows as well. There were several items from Smashbox Masquerade, and from another collection I can't remember the name of. I have seen stuff from the Smashbox Heartbreaker collection too. There are always a bunch of Stila eyeshadow pans. Selection varies every time I go... If you are into any of those brands it might be worth a look.

Sephora:
Sephora has lots of holiday collections out. They had the Naked Palette in stock as well as the new UD palettes. I saw holiday sets from BUXOM that I was interested in. They have some decent bargains in the sale section of their website right now too. If you are VIB, remember the 20% off sale for VIB's starts on Nov. 10th! I got a code in the mail.

TJ Maxx:
I was last here probably about 2 weeks ago, but they usually have several items from theBalm. I have seen the Meet Matte palette, The Bold & The Beautiful palette (same as the Muppet's Cast Your Shadow Palette, just with different packaging!) and several of their loose mineral eyeshadows. Selection always varies, I feel like it is different every time I go. If you like theBalm, make sure you check the makeup area at TJ Maxx next time you go!

Ulta:
I was also at Ulta this week. They had all the Bare Minerals holiday collections out, as well as lots of other holiday gift sets from other brands. The Muppets OPI Nail Polishes were on display. (See swatches on The PolishAholic.) They had even more than usual of the mini sample/travel sized products by the counter too. I purchased a Tarte set that included a mini Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface and a Mineral Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess. Each is 0.11 oz and it was $15 for the set. (I used my 20% off coupon when I bought them though, so I paid even less.) They had the Naked Palette in stock as well if you are still looking for it. My Ulta had a Wet n Wild display up. I had heard Wet n Wild was coming to Ulta, but this was the first time I saw it.

Walgreens:
The Wet n Wild baked holiday palettes and matte palette were in stock at my local Walgreens as of Wednesday! Unfortunately, they only had 2 of each different palette in the display. (So after I bought one of each, there was only one of each left!) I do hope they will restock these so everyone who wants one has a chance. Besides the Wet n Wild holiday items, I saw a full display of Revlon Lip Butters. It was untouched, sitting in a strange location above the razor section. You wouldn't ever notice it unless you looked up! And I couldn't reach it where it was... I suppose they were waiting to clear some space to put it in a better location. I'm hoping they keep it out of sight & out of reach until the next time Revlon lip products go on sale. :) Be sure to print your Wet n Wild coupon before you shop! And also ask for a copy of the Walgreens beauty coupon book.

My (Super Last Minute) Sephora F&F Order

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Sephora Friends & Family sale ended last night. It officially ended at 11:59pm PST, and I literally placed my order at 11:55. Talk about last minute!

I had been filling up my card and whittling it back down to nothing all week, trying to decide if there was anything I just couldn't live without. As I was doing this again last night, I realized that an Urban Decay Beauty In A Box set I had been eyeballing for a long time was back in stock. I have been looking at is since it was still regular price at the beginning of the year, then watched as it went on sale and later out of stock. I haven't seen it in stock in months, so I figured I missed the opportunity. I also wondered why they kept showing the kit when it was out of stock for so long, but I guess they just do that sometimes.

Anyway, so this UD Beauty In A Box was back in stock and that is what pushed me to make the order. Since I have been wanting it for awhile and still had the chance to use the F&F code for 20% off, I decided to do it. The only other thing I ordered is a set of mostly sample sized items from Tarte. I haven't used anything from the brand before and wanted to try out some products. It includes sample sizes of one of their Lip Surgence crayons, Lights Camera Lashes! Mascara and a cheek stain. It also includes a full size pot of their EmphasEyes Waterproof clay eyeliner. So I am looking forward to trying out those products as well. Here are screen shots of the kits from Sephora's website.

Of course there are lots of other products I am interested in, but I was trying to be good and not spend too much money. :)

When these arrive I will be sure to post swatches for you!
